Jim Lieber, owner and founder of Sounds of Music, is a pioneer of the DJ industry in Toledo, Ohio. Known as the top, most- referred full-time DJ service in the area for decades, he continues to remain actively involved in the business. Using his experience & passion as a vehicle, he has revitalized his business by bringing youth into the organization to exemplify and maintain his unique and well-known talent for entertaining people at weddings, parties, & special events. This approach has proven to be beneficial and his ability and eagerness to stay on top of things is simply unmatched. Taking Sounds of Music to a whole new level and reaching out to the public in an innovative fashion that keeps people coming back for more, he has created a whole new assertiveness in making the most of both the bridal show and entertainment industries. With an on-going reputation of excellence, he has proven to be an icon with thousands of successful receptions & events under his belt, in addition to his experience in promoting & presenting the two largest annual bridal shows in the area since 1986. As he finds this business extremely rewarding, Jim will always stay in tune with all your dreams & wishes!

When hosting a reception or special event, choosing the right entertainment is a very important decision that needs to be made because it can make or break the occasion! Our hi-tech equipment provides the best sound for any size facility, large or small, indoor or outdoor. We do not sub-contract disc jockeys; our DJ's work strictly for Sounds of Music and are consistently trained to meet your expectations. After filling out the music & agenda on the data form provided to you on our website your DJ will contact you to go over all of the final details, make any last minute changes, & answer any questions you may have prior to your date. All DJ's come dressed for the occasion and serve as the master of ceremonies in helping to direct your agenda, allowing a carefree evening for you and your guests while enhancing the atmosphere and creating a mood that is clearly felt at your reception, party, or special event, ensuring that all your wishes will be fulfilled. 

Set-Up Crews

A major asset that separates Sounds of Music from the other companies is our set-up crews. They set up and test the equipment hours prior to your event to ensure that everything is functioning properly in advance. With everything ready and in place, the DJ is fully prepared to begin background music as your guests arrive. Sounds of Music is also the only service in the area that provides emergency back-up equipment, and also an emergency on-call DJ so that if the competition you originally may have hired does not show…..let us know!!
